Animation Supervisor

Job Description

1. Animation Quality Supervision: Professionally review raw animations delivered by animators, focusing on movement fluidity, sense of weight, physical consistency, and whether character performance aligns with specifications.

2. Feedback & Guidance: Address animation flaws (such as insufficient pose tension, incorrect force transfer, poor timing, etc.) and provide clear, intuitive revision references via keyframe poses, motion sketches or corrected line art.

3. Enhance Animation Expressiveness: Optimize existing animations with guidance sketches to amplify impact, weight or softness of movements, and boost visual appeal of the final footage.

4. Style Consistency Control: Ensure all revised animations comply with the project’s overall art style and physical rules of the in-universe setting.

5. Team Collaboration: Communicate revision feedback patiently with animators, help them grasp the underlying logic of motion design, and elevate the overall team performance in subsequent tasks.

Job Requirements

1. Solid foundation in art and motion: Excellent command of human anatomy, perspective and gesture sketching, capable of quickly drafting expressive action poses with precision.

2. Mastery of animation principles: In-depth understanding of fundamental animation principles (squash & stretch, anticipation, easing, follow-through and overlapping action, etc.), and able to identify and fix issues affecting motion fluidity.

3. Strong ability to provide constructive feedback: Use sketches as the primary communication medium to clearly convey weight, motion arcs and timing variations.
